Basic 12 Lead EKG
How often have you read the computer printout on the 12 lead EKG and wondered if the diagnosis was accurate? Do you wonder where those diagnostic parameters came from? Are the machine diagnoses always correct? Do you wish you could confirm what the machine has interpreted?

Our Basic 12 lead class is a six hour course designed to teach the fundamentals of 12 lead EKG interpretation. The program is designed for healthcare professionals who wish to improve their confidence and expertise in cardiac assessment with 12 lead technology. You should have prior familiarity with EKG dysrhythmia recognition.

The class reviews cardiac anatomy and physiology with special emphasis on electrophysiology and electrical changes associated with cardiac pathologies. You will learn the role of the 12 lead with its value and limitation in cardiac assessment.

The ultimate objective of the class is to culminate skills in the diagnosis of myocardial infarction through STEMI recognition. You will acquire the ability to diagnose anterior, septal, lateral, inferior, posterior and right ventricular myocardial infarctions. You will learn the clinical significance of each type of infarction including general philosophies of care, prognosis and inherent dangers.

Advanced 12 Lead EKG
Advanced 12 lead
Our Advanced 12 lead Interpretation class is designed to take your cardiac diagnostic skills to the next level. This class is appropriate for people who already have a functional understanding of 12 lead technology to interpret basic ischemic events and infarctions.
In the Advanced 12 lead Interpretation class you will review basic infarction criteria and then learn identifying characteristics of:
•Atrial dilation
•Ventricular hypertrophy
•Axis deviation
•Bundle branch block
•Hemiblocks
•Bifascicular blocks
The final, and most valuable, part of the class is a series of group case studies to put the new knowledge to work, identifying everything learned during the session.
These classes are scheduled as we get groups of 3 or more. The classes can be taught at our home or a location of your choice.
